Personal Property Rental Agreement Forms
If my rental application is approved I am legally required to sign the lease?
I'm looking to rent right now and I am applying for many rental properties at a time. One application forms is causing some concern. It was from Ray White Victoria. There is a declaration section that I must sign. Among ordinary things such as providing accurate information and correct disclosure of my personal information to other parties, it reads: "If this request is accepted by the landlord I agree to enter into a residential tenancy agreement." This particular property is not my first choice but I'd be willing to rent it if I do not be retained for a couple of others. But by signing and submitting this application, I am legally required to sign the lease on the property if I am approved by the owner. And if I had to be approved for this property and one that I prefer (Over it) I am legally responsible to rent it? Thanks to anyone who can help.
