Does someone leaves something at home, what time is the property forfieted in the state of Kansas?

I was something given by a family member in July 2006. I was informed today that if I did not return, I will be prosecuted. It was given as a gift. I have no evidence that it was given as a gift that will hold in a court of law. Are there any limitations Staut in the State of Kansas unclaimed property. It has been my home for 18 months. Do they have a case in court? Where would I find information about this?

Tell family members you got rid of it a year ago. I think you should keep for up to 3 months (30 days if perhaps too strong.) If they have never made any attempt to get it, you're not a storage facility and are not necessary to maintain it. If it was a gift, they can not take it back. They do nothing!
